This is the first plant I ever bred. I originally bought seeds in the 70’s from a head shop in old Montreal. My original stash of seeds was 50 I bought for 50$, which was the equivalent of what 10 grams cost today. Not bad at all. I bought these seeds for almost ten years breeding and cross breeding. Its where i learned my craft.
Since that time I have back crossed it and bred it with only one other landrace Afghani I swapped seeds for in the early 90’s. I have sold some at the 1997 High times Cannabis Cup and someone from the Dampfkering Coffee Shop in Amsterdam bought some in 1997 and 1998 after smoking mine in 1997 when I stayed at the Hotel L’Europe. Paul Krassner remarked once it tasted like an “made my brain cough”. Al Goldstein used to eat it whole, put it in everything including pastrami sandwiches and commence to “pass out” all over Manhatten and Amsterdam. I miss Al.
Anyway, this is my favorite plant. I love the taste, The THC levels are 18-20% and yes they could be higher but why screw with a huge yielding plant and throws off heavenly, hashy, gooey, resinous colas that smell and taste like pungent sweet black hash should.
I will always maintain this plant as one of my favorites. Nothing beats the rock solid feeling of good black hash and this plant is the caviar of Afghani plants.
Big dense colas. Don’t train or trim. Makes huge donkey dick colas. Water needs are moderate. Hungry pig during veg. Hard to screw up growing this plant even if you are a beginner. Can easily yield up to 600 gr. per short plant. Great for outdoors. Finishes early and doesn’t mind the cold. NOTE: Its root ball does not like to be dug into the ground – show some respect and use a pot.
I plant it on raised mushroom compost rows just like pumpkins. Ive had record yielding plants that way about 1-2 pounds regularly outdoors with no fertilizing or watering – just nature.
Makes great oil, RSO, hash, flower and extracts like Rosin.
